Campbell-Ban-nerman, Mr Balfour stated tiafat the Director of Public Prosecutions con;sdered the papers relating to tho ■South African war supplies scandal •did not disclose a case for criminal .action. The censured officers had ■wen relieved from duty ; it was Undesirable to Court-martial them until after further investigation. It was probable a select committee of the House of Commons would be the saost expeditious mode of enquiry.
