LETHARGIC RATEPAYERS.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 20. A' poll *& ratepayers was taken toflay on the proposal by the City Council to borrow £50,00 to meet extra expenditure 1 on certain works. Only 476 people voted, tho proposal being carried by a majority of 220.
