The monthly meeting of the above Hoard was held on Wednesday, the members present being Messrs S Turn-bull (chairman}, Connctt, Uol-l-ier, and French. Correspondence was 1-cad'iirom the Treasury stutthe special order in connection with the Wortley road lonm 01" £4OO had been validated by an Order-in-Council, and that the loan was now available for expenditure ; irom the Inspector of Noxious 1 Weeds stating that the spread of blackberries on Te Arei u wl Cross Roads wouldlbe seen to. Messrs Roy and Wilson notified that Mr H. llowiuan refused to complete the transfer of land for the Kelly road elevation. Mr Oi-bell slated that Messrs Cart-wrigh-t and Kingdon had completed their To Arei road contract, und that the expenditure of the "balance of the Kelily road loan would be proceeded with at once. Mr French reported that the settCers on the Mamaku Road had lirtished the formation and were reudy for the moLul authorised at the lust meeting.—Mr French was authorised to arrange about same. It was decided not to proceed with the expenditure of the Wortley rpui} loan until next speing. Mr G. Hall waitell on tlie Board and lcquested the loan of some bi idge timber for moving a building, this being granted 011 the understanding that any damage to tin,'JO* bo made good. The surfaceman was directed to prospect for gravel on the Karnka • " ,ls » to put in two days f„rm"''J;*-"' of Kelly Road.
