Association Football Club.

A general meeting of the New Plymouth Association Football Club was held at the Council Chambers on

Tuesday evening, Mr \V. Itrooine presiding over a fairly good attendance, The following selection committor was appointed : Messrs S. Clark, \V llullock. and A. l'orter.

To comprise the committee of niangement the following were elected : Messrs W. Bullock, T. Kay, R. Newton, S. Clark, and the secretary (Mr R. Reid). Arrangements were marie in connection with the visit of the Diamond Club (Wellington), which will play a match against ithe local team on Easter Saturday. It was decided to cnterta in the visitors at a dinner and smoke social on the evening of the match, tlie details being left to the committee of management. J,t was also agreed to invite the Waitaia and Omata Clubs to participate in a practice match on Thursday week, in order to select u strong combination to play against the Wellington men. The secretary reported that 26 members had been enrolled to date, so that there is every prospect of a ifood season for the club, which will run two teams.
