At the close of the service the church was filled in every part when the organist, Mr Fletcher, gave a reciEal, which admirably demonsitrated' the capacity of the fine injstruiuent at which he so ably presides. The selections included 'Ave Maria" (Mascagni) ; " Serenade " (Gounod) ; and VMelody" (Ra\ina). 'lhe recital was keenly appreciated, and the congregation are to be heartily congratulated on the installation of the organ, which is largest ever built within tho colony, and tha most elaborate yet seen in tho North Island-. It is in every way a credit to ihe builder, Mr Croft, who spared no effort in its' workmanship. Lovers of music will learn with pleasure that when the instrument is fully completed, which will be in twp or three weeks, it is tho intention of Mr Fleleher to give a recital each month at the close of the evening service.
