DUNEDIN POLICE COURT.

(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Feb. 28. At the Police Court to-dav there were two charges against two persons of twing found on license! premises during such time as these were required to be closed. The defence in the first case was that defendant, who is a barman in another hotel, hod been sent for to visit an acquaintance, who had been hurt \ line of 20s, with 7s costs, was inflicted. In the second case the excuse was that defendant had gone to the hotel to meet a friend to arrange for a drive. The defendant in this case was also employed in another hotel. John Willis, a married man. with ttirec children, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment for using obscene language to a tramcar conductor. The S.M. reserved his decision in five cases of alleged sly grog selling, four being Dunedin cases, and one from Port Chalmers.
