He recommended fixing -the pusses at 95 per cent, for first year, 40 for second year, 45 third year, and 50 for fourth year teachers, allowing all | who failed to come up for the higher examination next year. He was pleased that the marks for school management were high. The following is the result

First year.—Passed : Phoebe Ingpen (Inglewood) and Mildred Berry (West End.) Failed : Lilv Hart (Inglewood) and Winifred HaU (VlidIlil'St.)

Second year.—Passed : Amy Crawford (Central), Mary Bernsten (Wuitara), Coralie Smith (Tariki.) No failures.

Third year.—Passed : Ethel Rountroe (Ngaire), Alice Haddreil (Central), Ella King, Lilla Finnertv, Margaret Hutchison (Stratford), and El hoi Bent (Waitaro.) No fa: ures. Fourth year.—Passed : Lily Stewart (Central), Ina Dempsey (Fitzroy), and Adn Powell (West End.) On the motion of Mr Mackay, it was l-esolved that tho report be adopted and a copy sent to the Minister, whose attention is to be specially drawn to 'the unfair character of the examination.
