St. PETERSBURG, Feb. 6. Troops in Russian Turkestan have been greatly strengthened. (Russian Turkestan lies to the north of Afghanistan, a line of demaraction between them .having been agreed on a few years ago by an Anglo-Russian Conumssion. A branch railway Hue from Mcrv, the capital, runs to Khusk on the Afghan frontier).
