In connection with Dr. Roth's report on the aborigines of YVestra<ia, in which he stated that the evidence revealed tho existence of an outrageous condition of affairs, Mr W. H. James, Agent-General, in a leitcr to the Timcsj. comments on the report and explains tho Government action. He adds : " The majority frn Westralia are humane and anxious to assist in checking abuses." (Mr James was Premier of the'late Labour Ministry, which was responsible for the appointment of Dr. Roth.)
