QUEEN'S SCHOLARSHIPS.
THE SIX ALLOTTED. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 27. The Queen's Scholarships in connection with the Victoria College have just been allotted. 'Hie authorities have considered the claims of the following candidates on their school marks A. H. Hobinson, To Aro, 682; J. Marshal, Matawhero, 629 ; «. Watson, To Aro, 000 ; A. G. llryan, Westport, 5»5 ; M. Castle. Petono, 581 ; V. Hull. Napier, 575 ; E. Cross, Newtown, 569 ; E. H. Coli|uhoun, Mount Cook, 560; I>. Hueston, Clyde Quay, 506 ; 11. E. Eagolberg, Mount Cook, 559 ; A. F. Grace, Nelson, 557.
The sSx firslt-named candidates will receive Queen's Scholarship*. There is a probability, however, that the candidate who has top|>ed the list may prefer to take a National Scholarship, and in that case it will be the next six who take the Queen's Scliolarsdipg.
