The Diocesan Synod no-day resolved to cable to Bishop Julius informing him of the consecration of the (Cathedral, and expressing an earnest desire for his restoration to health and a wish that he will not return before his medical advisers are fully assured of his recovery. The benefit concert! promoted by , friends of Miss Geitie Campion, who is at present lying sick and penniless in a South African hospital, was held in the Theatre Royal this afternoon. A very attractive programme was provided by professionals and amateurs who bad readily given .their, services in the cause, and the fund being raised to assist the bright little actress will be Con* gideraWy augmented.
