A very quiet but pretty wedding took place at St. Paul's Church, Okato, on September 28th, when Mr P, A. l'utt led lo the altar Miss Phyllis l Clothier, llio eldest daughter of llr Al'i'rcd Clothier, of Warea. The Itov. F. W. Young officiated at the ceremony. The -bride was dressed iin a very wtylisl'ii white dress, with tulle hat to match, and looked charming. She was l attended by Miss Doris Clothier, Miss M. Putt, and Miss Vera Clothier, all of whom looked very nice in while and pale blue. The bridegroom was attended by Mr I). Corlxitt as best man. After tile ceremony a wedding breakfast was held at ttie residonco of Mr awl Mrs J. J. Klwin, grand parents of the bride. In the evening a danco was given by Mr and Mrs Clothier. The presents were costly and numerous. Several new houses are boimg built ■in thiis* district, and more are contemplated, which goes to show that tho settlers are not inclined to think tkat the present drop in prices of dairy produce is permanent.
