Cruelty in Children.
A MEDDLESOME SOCIETY'S TRIVIAL COMPLAINT.
(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 4. The council of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to-night discussed the question oi the destruction of small birds, and decided to write to locnl bodies pointing out that the practice of paying for the heads of small birds encouraged children to become cruel.
