Sunnyslde Asylum.

_• AN INQUIRY WANTED. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 4. A deputation from the Trades and Labour Council waited on the Premier and asked for a full public inquiry into the conditions prevailing at Sunnysidc Asylum, on the ground of great publio mistrust in the management. The Premier replied that the Minister bad arrangifl that attendants should have the right to a direct appeal to him, and as the House had already rejected the proposed appeal board, it would be inadvisable to reconsider the question at present. Hifailed to see any need for an inquiry as the whole trouble had arisen through the dismissal of two men in consequence of an inquiry -by a thoroughly capable man.
