—♦ (Per Press Association.) OISBORNE, September 14. The Supremo Court concluded today, and Mr Justice Edwards is leaving, for the south to-night. A prohibition order having been granted by the Magistrate against an old man, who employed counsel to oppose tiib application, an appeal was made to Judge Edwards. His Honour granted a rule nisi on the motion to prevent the order being put into effect, and the order w-as suspended pending the hearing of argument in Auckland. There are now 650 cases now down for hearing at the Land Court being conducted by Judge Jones at Awanui.
Recently an aged and blind Maori landed from a steamer at Awanui, and had all lie possessed (£2) stolen by a smeak thief.
Some valuable Maori carvings have ibeen secured by the Government from Awanui.
