Mil WATKINS MILLS. On Thursday, 15th inst., the eminent iwsso, Mr Watkins Mills, assisted by the_ renowned Polish pianist, M. Parlovite, will appear at tho I heatre H„ yah The Australian press has .boon unanimous in its' appreciatioii of this great vocal star "hose tour seems to have been « "larch of great success. The Launceston Examiner refers to him in the tho following terms :-"Mr Mills has long been a bright particular i„ his branch of song, and after hearing him one wonders which is betor, the rich fruity, sympathetic contralto note of Miss Ada Crossley or the full, resonant, fresh and powerfu bass of our present visitor. Australians do not often have an opportunity of listening to tlie male artist. Within tie past few years htirlin*, Patcy, Albani, Melb n and Crossley have visited Uie Commonwealth, but no English male vocalist of eimnenco has made the trip Hence wo have not been able to institute comparisons. No doubt opinion as to which is tho moro delightful will ,be divided. It is certain however, that both havo stirred us to tho innermost recesses of our being."
