Volunteer Notes.
The ordinary parade of tho Taranakl Rifles wus held last evening when thero was a fair muster. After drlll two breaches of discipline were investigated, the offender being severely reprimanded. Volunteers should remember that unauthorised rifle practice in places frequented by the public may have serious results and they will do well to remember also that instances of such recurring will t:e visited with the severest pen ulty possible.
To-night both corps are to parade at 7.30 o'clock for inspection by Colonel Webb, officer commanding tho district. b
