The exchange of St. Germain's Square (the property of the Taraimki A. and Society) for ten acres in the municipal reserve on Avenue Road in order to provide a site for the A. and V. shows was considered at the council meeting last evening. The Borough Council can see in the present scheme a clear o? J-M«» a vlui , and th<* very considerable loss entailed in surrendering the full control of the racecourse reserve.
