UNIONISTS RESORT TO DYNAMITE AND FIREARMS. (Received June 9, 10.33 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 9. In connection with the recent dynamite outrage at Independence, on the Florence-Cripple Creek railway, which was attributed to unionist labourers' jealousy of non-union employees, a sanguinary encounter is reported. General Bell, with two hundred sheriff's deputies, attacked one hundred and fifty miners, who occupied an entrenched position in the bills Victor. Five of the unionist men were killed, and fifteen captured, along with a quantity of arms and ammunition.
