TROUBLE IN TANGIERS.
AMERICAN DIPLOMATIC ACTION. RAISULI TRIUMPHANT, (Received June 9, 10.33 p.m.) LONDON, June 9. At the instance of the American Consul-General, a party of American, marines was landed to guard the Belgian Legation at Tangiers. Colonel John Hay (United States Secretary for State) Justifies this step -on the ground that international ■comity prompted the idea of one Power protecting another's interests in the absence of her warships. The Sultan of Morocco has agreed -*"Jo Raisuli's demands. Raisuli asks that Britain and America should guarantee the Sultan's promises, but America declines. The Sultan has appointed Herid Barrada (Raisuli's nominee) as Governor of Tangiers.
