Fine weather favoured the New Plymouth Homing Club for its third annual Oaks Race from Foxton on Thursday. The birds were liberated by the stationmastcr at 10.30 a.m. Fifteen birds, representing five lofts, competed with the following result : Mr W. H. Phipps' Bwlinn, 4hrs iiO min 15sec, velocity per minute 776 yds 2ft 6in, 1 ; Mr W. Taylor's Iluchess, 4hr 29min iiOsec, 776 yd Oft 6in, 2 ; Mr C. Lister's Ranana, 4hrs SOinin 15sec, 773 yds 2ft 6in, 3 ; Mr 11. W. Nixon's liita, 4hrs 36min, 760 yds Oft Tin, 4.
