An Adjourned inquest.

(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 24. An inquest was held at tin* hospital to-day touching the death of Elizabeth Knox, wife of a S wanson storekeeper. The medical evidence was to the effect that death was du'c to poison, but so far as the evidence went deceased had taken nothing of a more dangerous chnract-er than oil of tar, which she got for toothache. The inquest was adjourned, to allow of an analysis of tlie oil of tar and the contents of deceased's stomach.
