AUCKLAND WOOL SALES. AUCKLAND, Dec. 1. At the wool sales to-day, in sympathy with London, there ivas a decline in prices compared with Wellington. Fine crossbreds brought 6|d to 9d, and half-biied 6jd to Tjd. LONDON WOOL SAI/iS. LONDON, Nov. 30. Wool is Arm at late rates, There is good competition. TIMARU WOOL SALES. TIMARU, Dec. 1. The first sale of the season opened to-day, when the total offering was 4183 bales. There was a good attendance of buyers, including several English representatives. The wool was in good condition, slightly better than last year. The sale was disappointing, in that the high prices anticipated were not realised. Half bred« were slightly better than last year, and coarse wools a penny per lb better. The top price of the sale was lOd for choice ha Mb rod. The clip from the same flock last year topped the market at lOid. Home buyers say they cannot do business unless reserves drop 10 per cent.
