Methodist Conference.
CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 24. The Canterbury Methodist Synod commenced its pastoral sessions this morning, Rev. J. A. Luxford, President of t'h* Conference, presiding. Rev C. H. Laws, 8.A., was elected sec. The otytuary of the late Rev. W. J. Parsottson was read by the Rev. J. Dukes ami spoken to by several ministers. Revs. W. J. Oxbrow, MA., R, Pratt, and A. J. Seamer wero recommended to the conference to be passed in their years of probation.
