CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 19. A case in which Joseph Millar, hairdresser, was charged with slygrog selling, was dismissed to-day after hearing the evidence of the prosecution, which was to the effect that beer had -been bought by a man named Kerr, who tendered in payment half a crown, which had been marked by the detectives. The evidence of the defendant was also beard. The Magistrate said he didn't believe the defendant's evidence, which was a denial that he bad sold beer, but it would be unsafe to convict on the evidence of the prosecution.
