Palmeraton Show.
PALMERSTON N., Nov. 19. Again to-day the weather conditions are not particularly favourable for the second day's programme Of the Manawatu Show. Rain threatens to spoil the afternoon's attendance. Some excellent stock is on the ground for the verdict of the Judges, beating last year's entries in almost all sections. The quality in cattle is satisfactory. Herefords are pronounced exceptionally good, and Shorthorns are also notable, especially the champion bull yearling, end the two-year-old classes of Ayrehires and Jerseys are likewise subject to favourable comment. Draughts are a strong feature of the "' horse section, and in sheep Komneys and Lincoln* stand out conspicuously in a generally well represented class. The Sbortborn championship was awarded Mcllardy Bros, in bulls and to- S. Williams in cows. Herefords, bull and cow, Jas. Stucfcey ; Polled Angus, J. J. Campbell, bull and cow ; Ayrshire bull, S. S. Standen ; cow, S. W. Ludford. Sheep : Border Leicester championship, Nelson Bros.
