MINISTERS ASSOCIATION.
At the ordinary monthly meeting of the Ministers Association, held on Wednesday afternoon, reference was made to the recent death of Archdeacon Govett. The following resolution was paesad with deep feeling : "The members of the New Plymouth Ministers Association desire to place on record their appreciation of the life and work of the late Archdeacon Govett. With devout thankfulness to Almighty God they recall his upright oharacter as a minister of Jesus Christ, his benevolence to the poor, and the long years of strenuous and devoted service, which have won for his memory the respect and grateful esteem of the antiro community. The members of the Association tender their deepest sympathy to the bereaved family and relatives in this hour of sorrow, and pray that God may comfort them with bis infinite grace and love."
All the ministers of the town were present at the meeting, with the exception of the Rev. F. G. Evans, who is in Sydney.
