JUDGE CONOLLY'S SUOOESSOR. AUCKLAND-TARANAftI DISTRICT. Mr K, L. Stanfohd, Registrar of the Supreme Court, has received a telegram, which he hss kindly placed at our disposal, from which it appears that Judge Edwards succeeds Judge Oonolly in charge of the Auckland-Taranaki Judicial District. The telegram, which is signed W. B. Edwards, Judge, reads as follows:—"I am taking charge of the Auckland Judicial District in succession to Mr Jusfcice Oonolly. Kindly let ma know what business is likely to come before the Court at the ensuing sitting at New Plymouth, and time probably occupied. I understand there is a compensation case at Hawera on the 26th as to which I require information." Judge Edwards is an able and experienced Judge, whose appointment will give great satisfaction.
