MASONIC.
The dedication of the new Masonic Hall erected by the Moa Lodge of Freemasons (iDglewood), took place on Thursday evening, when there was a very hrge attendance of the croft, including representatives of the Egmontj Da Burg Adams, and Ngamotu (New Plymouth), Ikeroa (Rahotu), St. John's (El hum), Donald McLsan {Waitara), B:ratford Lodge, Stratford, Patea Kilwinning, and others. The dedication ceremony was conducted in an ; mpreßsive manner by the Eight 1 Worshipful Bro. F. P. Oorkill, Grand Superintendent of Tara naisi, by Oommiesion as Deputy Grand Master. He was assisted in the ceremony by Wor. Bro. John W. Warren, P.G.D., Member B. of G.P,, of Lodge Stratford, 75, as Senior Grand Warden ; Wor. Bro. Thos. B. Hamerton, P.M., G.S., of Ljdge Patei Kilwinning, 18, as Junior Grand Warden; Very Wor. Bro. Rev. Frat,k G. Evans, P.G. Ohap., as Grand Chaplain; Bro. J. S, 8, Medley (Ngamotu, 48), as Grand Secretary; as Grand Direotor of Ceremonies, Worshipful Bro. Thos. Furlong, P.M., of Lidge Ngamotu, 48; as Grand Organist, Bro. J. Osborne Gorge, Lodge De Burgh Adams, 446, 1.0., and as Grand Trumpeter, Bro. J. Lopine.
The ceremony was most impressive, and was undoubtedly the biggest Masonic function yet held in Ingletfood,
After the dedication servica, an adjournment was made to the Parish Hall, where an ecj >yable social evening was spent, The proceedings opened with an excellent selection by the Inglewood orchestra, which was undoubtedly a rare musical treat. Songs were contributed by Misses Wells and Kenny, and Messrs E, and S. Garter, two mandolin solos by Miss Thomas, a recitation by Master Davey, and a number of graphophone selectors by Mr Stewart. At the conclusion of the concert items the chairman (Mr F. O. Bennett) invited all and sundry to an excellent repast, after which dacciog was indulged in till the " wee sma' oore," under che able M,0.ship of Messrs Bennett and T, E. Hamerton, first-class music being supplied by Messrs Oarsten (piano), Sutherland (viola), Whitehead (volin), Tyrell (clarionet), and Sullivan (cornet), The whole of the proceedings were most enjoyable, and reflect the greatest credit on the Moa Lodge.
The now Hall, which is in Brownstreet, is a neat and commodious building, divided into two compartments, the lodge-room being 24ft x 30ft and the ante-room 24ft by 12Ft=. It is a comfortable home for the Ingle wood craftsmen, and, as the D.G.M. remarked, " TJie brethren of the Moa liodge are to be congratulated upon their energy and enterprise in striking out by erecting a lodge-room for themselves "
The Lodge, which was formed about seven years ago, now comprises a membership of 36, the present officers being:—W.M., Wor. Bro. Job. W. Winßeld, P.M.; 8.W., Bro. S. Oandisb; J.W., Bro. F. 0. Bennett; Treasurer, Bro. y . Oiough ; Secretary, Wor. Bro. A. E. Surrey, 1.P.M.; S.D., Bro. A. Leeeb; J.D., Bro. G. Foster; 1.G., Bro. E. Gopperth; Tyler, Bro. O. Spurdle. The New Plymouth " oontirjgent," numbering seme 35, came home by special train at midnight,
