! TAHANAKI V. WANOiNW. ?BB PBESB ASSOCIATION. Wanganui, August 13. The match Taranaki v. Wanganui was played today and resulted in a win for Taranaki by 5 to nil. The first spell was fairly even, Taranaki scoring a luoky (?) try from a forward rush. The try was converted, During the whole of the second spell Wanganui bad Taranaki penned in their 25's, Taranaki only getting over the half-way line once. There was floe weather and a large attendance.

It will be seen, prior to Thursday's match, each of the teams bad won seven games, so that Taranaki now leads in these contests. On the question of points, from 1891, Taranaki h*s secured 152 as agaicst Wanganui's 39, a majority of 113. a BTBAUAN RKP. TEAM. Received 14,1.13 a.m. Sydney, August 13.
