CONDUCT OF WORKMEN'S CLUBS
A PROTEST.
Per Props Association. Palmerston Ncrth, July 30. Referring to the remarks of Mr Seddon ss to the cnduct of clubs on Sunday, and th 3 allegation that men obtained drink who could not gst it »t hotels, the president of ibs local club has telegraphed the Premier as follows :—" Your remarks, yesterday, in regard to clubs are most scandalous and unwarranted, as far as our club is concerned. There was no discrimination io your remarks, therefore, as president of Palmerston"North Working Men's Olub, I protest most indignantly."
