Pe» Press Association. PAImKHSTOH NotTH, July 28. The anD il meeting *f the National Dairy Am ;ia'ion was held to-day, Mr Harkness presiding. Amongsi those present were Mr Ritchie, Secretary of the Agricultural Department*, the Minuter of Land*, and Mr Cameron, London Tradj Commissioner. The directf re elected were Messrs. B. Diva (Elthan ), J. Foreman ( Tikorangi) and Joll (Oknawa). TfleStra-fcrd resolution against any alteration in branding butter boxes was reaffirmed.
Mr Hat knees, who has been president for four years, wag appointed secretary in succession to Mr Beattie. In the coarse of his speech, Mr Harkness said some people were industriously declaring that a slump was coming in batter and-cheese, but there was no authority fo.- such a statement. On the other hand the time was comiDg when the output would be doubled, and if farmers kept up a high standard there was no fear of a reduction in price.
The Baiter ard Chersemakers Association met this evening and decided that the vacant Dairy Commissioner - ■hip should be filled bv a meinbar of the present dairying 83rvicp, preference being given to an importing man,from outside; also that the Government be approached as to establishing an experimental stat. on.
