BURGLARIES IN AUCKLAND.
Per Press A=sociation. Auckland, July 25, Burglaries are almost of nightly occurrenc3. A daring burglary took phce at Lombard's fancy store, Quesnstreet, last night A large quantity of farcy jewellery was removed, The thieves obtained access by the right-of-way at the side and through a window yesterday morning while the windows were open for airing. A burglar entered the suburban residence of Mr Gregory, photographer, and stole watches, jewellery, and money, of the total valua of about £2O.
The Empiie Hotel wasreoently burglariouly entered while the occupants were at tea.
The police have mide an arrest in this casiof a man who, it is alleged, offered a stolen watch for sale.
