The weather was flue in the morning, but showere fell during the afternoon, and the ccurse was a trifle heavy. There was a good attendance and firstclass racing. Results: j Trial Steeplechase, two miles: Hur- | ricane 1, Umslopogass 2, Benedictine 3. Won by a head. Time, 4min 14sec. Divs., £4 14s and XI 13s. L'ght broke a leg and had to be destroyed. Winter Handicap, one mile and a furlong: Metura 1, Roaeshoot 2, Waimoe 3. Won by a head. Time, 2min 2sec. Divs., £4 5s and £1 3s. Indies' Bracelet: Apres.l, Defoe 2, Repulse 8. Woe by a short head. Time, 3min 59acc. Div., £3 12s, Hack Hurdles, one and tbree-quarter miles: Evening 1, Ogle 2, Rags 3. Won easily. Time, 3min 36s:c. Divs., £5 and £1 18s. Hawke's Bay Hurdlep, two miles: Hurricane 1, Meteor 2, Mourner 3. Won by a length after a good race, Time, 4min 3sec. - Divs., £ll 163 and 17*. Hunt Olub Steepleahase, tw» acd ahalf miles; Hinewai 1, Draga 2, Benedictine 3. Won comfortably. Time, smin 26sec.
