FIRES.

FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION, Oamaru, June 24, A fire occurred this evening by which the 6tocb and plant of D. J. Jennings, dentist; J. M. Brown, stationer; and Scott Bros., drapers, were considerably damaged, if not destroyed. The fire started in Jennings' workshop, and burnt through the floor to Brown's shop. The brigade quickly subdued the flames. The insurances are: Jennings, .£175 in the New Zealand ; Brown, .£SOO in the Royal, .£SOO in the Sou'h British, £SOO in the National, and .£250 in the New Zealand. Scott Bros, were insured in Dunedin.
