SCHOLARSHIP RKGULiTnXS. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, Jute 17. The Gazette to-morrow will contain regulations regarding scholarships under the Manual and Technical Education Act.
In junior scholarships it is provided that if a certifioite of competency is obtained, or a pass in the Civil Service junior eximination, cr matriculation examination, the Department will piy, in addition to the capitation payable under the Act, 3d pi r head for each at-' tendar.ee provided that twenty attendances are recorded for each papi l , but the total p 'yments for acy pupil are not to exceed £5 in one year. Payments may be toatinued fir t*o years loDger provide 1 the holder of a scholarship satisfies the tests that may ba requiiod by the Incp3ctor-General of Schoo's and provided v.gular iustiaction of a more advanced character is given. Free railway tickets will be t-su d where nece-sary to holders of scholarships.
