LAND BOARD.
The monthly meeting cf -the L»nd Board was held oa Tuesday. Present: The Com-nissiouer of Crown Lands in the Obair, and Messrs HeslOp, Rattenbury, Oonnett and McOlaggage. The minutes of the previous meeting were re;d and cot,firmed. Tho land applied for since last meet iag was as under : Section 3, black XL, Obura, 919 acr. s, F. Williams, Wro. Olsop, and J. McMullon l.i.p. The applicants attached a proviso that if the the section be divided into three t qual parts.

Mr B ookmg waited upon the Board in support of his application, and, af:er discussing the matter fully, the Boird resolved to defer consideratioa of the till the next meeting, onl in the meantime obtain a preliminary rep rton the timce- 1 . Final action with reference to the con-fulfilment of conditions on sec'ions 10 ar.d 13; block 9, Mimi, occupiid by G. and A. G. Firbank, was defetrod until next meeting.
Thomas Humphries applied for six months extension of lime to re ide on section 6, block 15, area Nihoniko Itn.F. Sestltment.-Left to'the Commissioner to deal with.
The application of Michael Kerrick to be allowed to select section 3, block 9, Ngatimaru, was submitted by W. Symes, M.H.R., but was htld over fur consideration until the posi'ion of the railway lina is defined. H. Bennett wrote that ha did not intend to execute his lionee tf scion 6, block 9, Op;ku, as he had b?en misled in his application for hnd in that locality. , i Consideration of his Ltter was deferred till next meeting. P, K. Worthington asked that sections 16 and 17, hlo:k 4, Ngatimaru, be forfeited for non-payment of rent in terms of the notice sent to him. W. E. Dickey applied to surrersdei sec'ion 8, block 3, Ohuia, as he is disappointed with it not being as described in the sale plan. Consideration of the application was hel j over.

Seconded by Mr Rittenbury and carried. The Board rose.
