LABOUR MATTERS.
FEB FBESS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, May 14. A deputation of master grocers asked the Premier to retain the provision fixing the weekly half-holiday by local bodies as at present. The Premier ' said be favoured including Road Boards ! and Counties so as to make it general. J Tbe deputation also asked for the compulsory closiog of all grocers premises > at 6 o'clock, as fixed in the award for employers of labour. The Premier rei plied that it was bard to do this and not infringe on the rights of the subject where men with families lived on I the premises.
