PER FBESS ASSOCIATION. Greymouth, May 14, 1 A letter from the manager conducting the boring for the Kotusu Oil : Syndicate states the bore is down 50 ( feet. The cutting at twelve feet showed i afoot of rand saturated with petroleum, I then 16 feet of marine bottom, the next ,24 feet being sand and gravel also , saturated with oil, which the pressure ' from below is forcing in a greasy mass up the pipe during drilling operations. .Oil accumulates in the bore between ,the shifts, ten gallons being no.t collected in drums. Visitors to-day were highly impressed.
