HALF-YEARLY MEETING OK TAR&NiKI DISTRICT. The half yearly meeting of the Taranuki District, A.0.F., was held in Hawera oo Tuesaay. The officers present were : -D.0.K., Bro. H. N. Gold--*a'er; D.S.C.R.Bro. F. Williamson; D.T., Bio. H. 3. Oattley ; D.S., B-o. O. Tucbridgo; D.8., Bro. J. D. Murray. Lodges were represented as under: Taranaki, Bro. E. A. G.lding; Wairtka, Bro. A, Wray and Bro. A. J. Tun'i.riogi; Ingk.wcod Forest, Bro. F. 0. Britivt*.; Raleigh (Waitara), Bro. A. Lile; Egmont (Hawer..),Bro. J. E. Wilson; Stia'.fo'd, Bro. G, Burgess; Opunake, Brp. W.. J. Christie; Piide of N. : w Plymouth, Sister E. Bullot; F.delity (Hawen), Sister Gjmer. The Patea delegate was absent. The report of the District Officers stated that there had been no increase in the numbtr of courts, which number eleven. The membership bad only increased by eleven, and now it stands at 1016. Tho amount of sickness was 1030 weeks two days, a decrease of 198 weeks and two days, while the sick pay was .£837 12s 6d, a decrease of £166 14s SJ. Funeral money paid totalled £l2O, for five members and one member's wif*. During ihe year 65 numbers wtre initiated, 46 were struck off, five died, and three left by clearance. The funds at the beginning of the year amounted to £13,053 2s 7|d, and at the etid £13,999 0a 10|d, and inweasa of £945 he year the officers endeavoured to officially visit all ihe courts in the district wnd recommended like procedure by their successors. j The District Officers'reports, halfyearly, annua', and Juvenile Court balanca-sheet- 1 , as well as auditors' rei ports, were r?adand adopted. The District Secretary's salary wns \ increased to £4O per annum, and the auditor's fixed the same as lest year. Court Waireka's proposal to amend the rules as under wpb earned: "No person shall be admitted a financial member who is under the age of 16, or above the age of 40 years. Any memI bir "proposing a person contrary to this ru'e shall bs fiued 10s 6d. The charge for inithtion shall be as follows:—16 years and not exceeding 21 years, 5s ; 21 and not exceeding 24, 6s ; 24 and not exceeding 26, 7s; 26 and not exceeding 29, 10i ; 29 and not exc? eding 32, 12s 6d ; 32 and not exceeding 36. 15.; 36 and i.o*. exceeding 40, £l." Christie's motion, it wa3 decided that the next, District meeting be held at Opunake. The retiring District Chiff Binger (Bro. and the District Secretory (Bro. Tunbridge) were appointed to attend the next delegate meeting at Napitr re the formation of a subsidiary High Court. The electiou of officers resulted : - D.S.O.E. Bro. F. Williamson to be D.C.R.; P.O.R. Bio. A. Lile to be DS.O.K,; P.O.K. Bro. A. J. Tuabridge to ba D.B.
It was decided! thnt Bro.
