CONCERT.

AT THE OLD PEOPLE'B HOME. A PLEiSUiT INNOVATION. Oh Tuesday evening a very pretty con cart was held in the large day room in the Old People's Home, the room betas tastefully arranged and desora'ed with flags. Miss Mace and Mrs Evans took the matt-T in hand. There were about twenty visitors present, amongst tbem being Rev. and Mrs Evane, Mr and Mrs W. H. Skinn-r, Mr., Mrs and Mis* Corkill, Mrs (Jopeland, Miss Ddvenish, Mi-s Evani, Mr and Mrs LeppT, Mr and Mrs Tisch. SoDgs were given by Mr Ryan, Mr Nelson, Miss H^lds*or hj, Mis< Skee*, Miss B ik«r, Rev. Evans, Chp'ain Hogarth, and Leonard, the native, gave a Maori song. The concert was highly »p----prec'ated by the Old People. At the conclusion Mr W. H. Skinner on behalf of the Old People, proposed, and Mr Tisch, chairman of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, seconded, a hearty vote of thanks to the ladies and gentleman who took pirt in the concert. The whole Company then s%Dg "God Save the King." The ladies provided refreshments for the Old Peop'e, which was served in the diningroom and in the women's dinißg-room. The piano was kindly lent by Mr Farrar. The House Committee desire to thank all those who assisted in making such an enjoyable entertainment for the old people.
