UNDERWRITERS' ASSOCIATION.
Thk annutl meeting of the Taranaki Fire CTnderwrite's' Association was held on Tuesday, Mr F. P. Oorkill (All' ance Op.) presiding. After roo ina business had been dispned of, the officers for the year were elected as follows: Ohairmw? Mr J. Paton (New Zealand Company); vice-chairman, Mr H. M. Biuchope (Siuth Britih Company); committee, Messrs D. McAUum (TTaiW Compmy), J. S. (Commercial Un on Company), W. J. Shaw (San Offiee), F. G. Hume (Phceaix Company), J. E. Wilson (Manchester Company); auditor, Mr T. O. K>lsey, F.N'.Z.A.A. (Aujtraliia Alliance O jmpany). Donations to the amount of about 40 guioew were paid in for the benefit of the family of the late Fireman Parker.
