WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD.
(raOK OUR OWN OORBESPOHDKHT.) Tei monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Wednesday, the members present being Mr T. West*rn (cbairmau(, Messrs Brown, Old, and L. Tarnbull. Correspondence was re id from the Au<lit Department returning last years balance sheet. From Mr is. A. Bshop requesting that work' bp done on upper end oi Everett-road; from Mr T. 6. Sole re expenditure t-f j £l5O loin on Te Arei-road, and from] Messrs Givett and Quilliam statiug that ratepayers on existing valuation-1 roll weaa entitled to vote. Tenders for metal on Te Arei-road were received from Mr W. Cartwright £7, and Messrs White and Julian £6 6a par chain, the latter being exceptod. Noj tenders were rioaiveJ for formation on! upper end of Te Arei-road, aed the dark was directed to ask Mr Sole to compute the quantity of earth to be shifted in the cuttings, and to advertise for tenders to ba in by the next meeting. Mr Turabull reported having purchased a plough for use of Boards employees. Approved. Mr Cartwright's off or to metal eight chains ob Oorbett-road at £3 10* per chain, to wait for payment until money was available was accapted, Mr Rellier to give the metil required f>r same. Acoounts amounting to £76 were passed for payment, and the Boird adjourned.;
