ANTHRAX IN SOUTHLAND.
PER press association. Invercaboill, January 3. An outbreak of anthrax, the first in the South I-lnd, has occurred at Woodlands. Two cows have died and Wo are recover icg. Mr Gilruth expresses the epinion' that tbe disease is dus to Cacuttaj bones used es a fertiliser. j It is feared that when sheep are placed on turnips tbe mortality will be heavy.
