PES PRESS ASSOCIATION. Aucklakd, January 4. The Auckland Rifle Association annual meeting cooclud'd on Saturday, the Northern match with the Star Gup being won by P ivate W. Cox, Victoria Rifles, wbo »lso won the Auckland m <tch and Herald Oup. Cox was also firs* in the aggregate with 165 points and r ceives Mr Kehn's g Id medil as champion of the meeting.-- Private P. Browne of tin Haur»ki H flea was second in the aggregate with 163. The Rapidity match was won by Lieutenant Mac Gill of Wa<uku with 34. Pi ivate Trethowen of the Hauraki Rifl j s was second with 33. The Nursery match was won by Sergeant Grasbie of the Thames with 30. The volley firing resulted as follows : Whaogarei Rifles
J (80) 1, No. 3 Ohinemuri (Ist teun) (76) 2, No. 1 Ohinemuri Rid s (73) 3. The Victoria Rifles (Ist team) won the i field firing wi'h 56, Thames being! second with 44, and Maisden Mounteds third with 40. Owing to want of time the Oarbmes match was abandoned and the Cadet match deferred till next Saturday. The next annual meeting will probably be held at the n«w range at Penrose.
