SOUTH-ROAD CONCERT.
A very successful concert was held at the South-roid W« eleyan Sundayschosl on Thursday evening, io aid of the school funds. There was a fuir attendance, though tbe weather was somewhat UDrJropitious. Tbe programme, which received theunstintel approvlif the audience, it.cluded the following items: Pianeforfe so!o, Miss flildt; recitations by Miss s Klsie Gilbert, May Out ton, Mitnie Hooker, MisGreerj, and Mr Buttioiore ; songs hy s Haz'l Brotkeiii-hiie, Margaret Dutton, Mrs Pikett, and Mr Lee.; violin solo, Miss Cannell; in-s'-i umerital duet, Mr and Roberts; cornet sole, Mr W. Nichol. At the conclusion a heirty vote of tbinks was accorded io Mr W, A. Oollis, who presided, to the performers, and all other* who had assisted to make < lie concert such a (success.
