TRINITY COLLEGE, LONDON.

On Wednesday afternoon last, 28th instant, the committee of the local centre of the above if s ifcution held their annual meeting, the Ven. Archdeacon Uove.tt being in the cbair. There wern a'so present; Messrs B. Pridham, A. E. Fletcher, and the local sect<it»ry, Mr N. K. MaeDairmid. It was resolved that the theoretical examination, which is to be held on Saturday, 7'h Juye, should be conducted at thu High School, Mr Pridham baing appointed supervisor. A circular, which had been received from London, gave ris» to considerable discussion, j It was therein stated that local centres I would have the opportunity of holding I additional examinations in musical knowledge in December in each year as§ well as in June. It was decided to hold the two examinations this year as an experiment. The resignation of I>. Hufcchisos, on his leaving the distiic f , was received nnd accepted with regret. Mr MacDiarmid also announced that pressure of business compelled' him to resign his position is local secretary Archdeacon G)V6tt proposed, and Mr Pridham seconded, that the resignation be accepted with regret. It was proposed and ctrritd that Mr C. L. MacDiarmid be appointed local secretary. After some o'.her matters had been discussed, the meeting adj turned.
