COOK COUNTY FINANCES.
PEU PRESS ASSOCIATION. Gisborne, May 30. The Cook County Council his elected Mr. Hutchinson chairman in phceof Mr. MucFarlanh, who leuves shortly on a trip to America. Owicg to tho state of the finances it was decided to dispense with the road maintenance men until the Council is in funds. It was decided to give £SO towards a coronation memento. It was also decided to strike a small rate for charitable aid.
