WEDDING.
There were between one and two hun-1 dred people present at St. Mary's Church on Thursday to witntss the marriage of Miss Ruth Cock to Mr Cesil Edward Jeffrie", of Pihama. Th f i bride's connection with St. Mary's Ij'hurch dates from her bap'ism there, it was there she was confirmed, r.nd from early childhood *he wi,s a memb-r •f the Sunday Schcol, being latterly one of the teachers. It was not surprising, therefore, to find so large a gathering at this interesting ceremony, which was unique of its kind, so far as church membership is concerned. The R°.v. F. G. Ev.ns officiated. The bride wore a dress of white satie, having eashmnre elosves tucked with peail trimming, and was attended by her two younger sifters as bridesmaids, The bridegroom had for best man Mr Sadler. At the conclusion of the ceremony the party drove to the residence of Mr Henry Cock, in Devon-street West, and the happy pair subsequently left by the afternoon train for Eltham. Amongst tho many presents received by the bride was a handsome biscuit barrsl, which was presented to her on Sunday list by th<* tearhtrs at St. Mary's Sunday school, who also decorated the church very prettily for the wedding.
