GOLD EXPORTS.
FEB PEESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, May 5. The export of gold from the eolony last month wag almost double tha v , for April last year, viz., 43,0520z, as against 22,5800z. Tbe to'al for thu last four months wns 141,7790z, valued at j£541,440, as compared with 137,863 oz, valued at £533,567 during the corresponding period of last year. During the first quarter of the present year 10,000cz more gold was exported from Auckland than during the first quarter last year. The export of silver list month was 51,6380z as against 34,114 oz in April last year.
